A multifunctional city park for all ages

The main purpose of the St. Vid’s Park design is the creation of new spaces and the organisation of equipment in a way that allows usually conflicting functions to harmoniously coexist in the same area, i.e., spaces intended for dynamic activities as opposed to spaces for passive, relaxing activities.

The spaces and recreational facilities planned as part of this project are as follows: a children's playground, an exercise area, an area for the elderly, a picnic and resting area, a plaza and a lounge area, a multifunctional deck, an open grassy area, and a rain garden.

The preliminary design is based mainly on diagonal paths that connect the points of access to the park and divide it into distinctive areas, which have been differentiated and grouped according to the users for whom they are primarily intended. This allows for the creation of functional, purposefully equipped, comfortable, and safe spaces for all age groups.

A central element of the park design is the vegetation, which includes a broad range of trees and green areas with an ecological and protective function.
