Regenerating the railway track

This preliminary concept aims at regenerating the railway track that once connected Kanfanar and Rovinj, converting it into a pedestrian and bicycle trail with recreational and educational facilities. Resting areas, new signalizations and urban equipment expressly designed for this place have been planned along its entire length of 21,5 km. The project aspires to trigger the development of a wider area using an abandoned infrastructure to improve its attractiveness and at the same time promote the preservation of the natural, cultural and industrial heritage. It encourages intermodality as well as the development of complementary activities.
