A contemporary interpretation of a historical park

The new design retains the main historical matrix of the park while adding more symmetry to the existing shapes through the standardisation of path widths and the creation of large regular circular intervals along the paths. Analyses of the grounds have revealed the need for additional routes identified by paths that have been created naturally by people’s footsteps.

Three resting areas have been implemented into the project design. The first one consists of a large space located directly in front of the high school building, which is suitable for larger gatherings of people. The second resting area, located in one of the large circular intervals, is suitable for an average amount of users who can use the spaces for sitting, lying down, and informal socialising purposes. The third area consists of a path in the southern part of the project, along which benches have been implemented.
