The purpose of this redevelopment project is to transform the local port of Dajla-Belveder into a new space consisting of a harbour, a promenade, and resting areas. The promenade is bordered by greenery, separating it from adjacent private plots of land. It features central elevated planters, resting amenities, low vegetation, and a tree line. Resting areas are located along the rock breakwater as well.
A specially designed and multifunctional structure has been planned for the western area of the project. The structure will consist of a space for informal use and play, with striking and recognisable elements that can serve as landmarks visible from a wider surrounding area.
In contrast to the horizontal breakwater structure, a grouping of trees functions as a vertical volume that lends compositional balance to the harbour.
