FIRST PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW BEACH ON ST. KATARINA'S ISLAND IS COMPLETED
St. Katarina's Island has a new beach this season! The first phase of reconstruction of the main island's beach has been completed after three months of works with the aim to improve the overall tourist offer of the island.
The retaining coastal wall has been built along the entire beach with beach access points and sunbathing areas on the lawn in the background. The central part is dominated by pebble-stone beach while the lateral sides are made in form of sunbathing plateaus.
The beach is equipped with showers, changing rooms, litter bins and a baywatch tower. The coffee bar terrace is located in the central part of the lawn sunbathing area. The ambience is enhanced by planting new trees and various kinds of indigenous Mediterranean shrubs and perennials.
